GOOD DEEDS DAY IN CUBA
GDD was launched in Cuba in 2019 and we grow every year in terms of partnerships and presence.
Cuba joined the Good Deeds Day network in 2019 with the Churches of Cuba Council (CIC) acting as country coordinator, receiving the permanent and unconditional support of the Support Group for People with Intellectual Disability and their Families (GADIF) and the socio-cultural community project My Heart in your Hands.
Be part of this amazing group of volunteers seeking to Do Good and create a positive impact in our country!

MISSION STATEMENT
Good Deeds Day in Cuba seeks to promote the inclusion and participation of persons with disabilities as volunteers and as citizens with full and equal rights. We also work to raise awareness of environmental care, educate people on responsible citizenship, foster reading habits in children, teenagers and young adults, and promote cultural development in communities.
SDG Focus
FEATURED PROJECT
In 2020, Good Deeds Day took part in the global project “Good Deeds from Home” and carried out the project “Social Media for Life”. On April 11, 2021 we took part in the Good Deeds Day with the project “The Secret Lies in Looking After Yourself”, where children, teenagers and young adults with intellectual disabilities were volunteers.
The project consisted of a series of 8 videos with Covid-19 prevention messages in Cuba. On that day, we also launched the project “Participate and Transform” on environmental care, with members and volunteers from the socio-cultural community project “My Heart in your Hands”.
